Pigmented lesions are areas of the skin which contain especially high concentrations of melanin and are typically caused by an excess of pigment commonly due to sun exposure, ageing or congenital factors. They can be either raised or flat and are usually a cosmetic rather than a medical concern. The Superior Pro system can optimise the light pulse so that the energy is absorbed only by the unwanted melanin, raising the temperature causing a shattering of the pigment.

Moderate Acne

The Superior Pro system can optimise the light pulse so that the tissue is permeated by the light to target the P.acnes safely and effectively. The high-intensity light triggers the proliferation of androgenic porphyrins, which attack and destroy P.acnes bacteria within the skin.
