What is the difference between the services we offer at LIBRA as compared to other salons?
Well, we do offer all the basic beauty treatments such as waxing, manicures, massage etc. same as other beauty salons.
However, I would like to think that firstly we offer a price competitive service..... (and our prices INCLUDE VAT) Next we offer it in pleasing surroundings, comfortable, clean and warm. Most of the rooms have fully adjustable electric couches for extra comfort and we use duvets on cold days for added warmth and luxury in facial treatments.
All treatments are carried out by fully qualified and experienced therapists who...and I think I coined this phrase that everyone else now uses....are "friendly and make you feel relaxed"! See some of our client testimonials where this is confirmed.
LIBRA is by no means perfect but we offer the best service we can.
As far as the names we offer such as SOTHYS skin care, OPI nail treatments, DIAMOND Microdermabrasion, VANI-T and ST.Tropez tanning, IPL LASER technology, ULTRATONE body and face toning are concerned the names we use were selected after plenty of research.
So what is the difference between our brands and those used in other salons? In most cases it is just a brand name that you may recognise, or not, due to marketing by that particular company. The DIAMOND Microdermabrasion or OPI nail care for example where more people have heard of CRYSTAL CLEAR or JESSICA nail care.
In the case of our Superior PRO IPL machine compared to something like Chromolite I believe it to be the difference between for example a Ford and a Mercedes(ours being the Mercedes!).
ST.TROPEZ is a very well known brand and it is a market leader in the tanning industry. The spray tan booth we have is a 2008 model. This has been superceded by the ULTIMATE AIR 2 which has obviously had technological improvements which help the therapist but the end result is the same for the client.
Vani-T is an Australian brand that offers totally unique 100% natural and organic based "Liquid Sun" spa formulas without artificial fragrances, preservatives or other harsh chemicals which can irritate the skin.

SOTHYS is a skin care brand that not many people in the U.K have heard of but it is extremely well known in France.................So well known in fact that when they launched a facial with Green Tea, Twinings asked if they could run a competition with them on their boxes of Green Tea! The products are by recommendation only. In other words your therapist will select the most appropriate products for you. This saves you making costly mistakes and wasting product by you just going down to BOOTS and buying off the shelf and getting the wrong stuff!! The prices are competitve, especially for the quality and a little goes a long way. My favourite phrase is "It does what it says on the tin!"
